Classic Rock Albums

I was born in the very early 60's.  That means, I was a teenager in the late 70's.  As such, I have extremely fond memories of things like cars, stereo systems, late-night parties, girls... and music.  Specifically, Classic Rock.  I firmly believe this particular moment in time represents the pinnacle of rock music.  Those days have come and gone, but there's a mild resurgence in the genre, as Baby Boomers give out their last gasp at recapturing their youth, and teenagers today are finding music created nearly 40 years ago rocks harder and better than the stuff their peers are creating.  I'm not going to find fault or claim artists in the days of my youth are superior than those finding their way today, there are many things present today that handicap the success and development of new artists that weren't in place back then.  Most notably, the music industry itself is only a shadow of what it once was.

If you'd like to relive some of the music that was created back then, but your memory fails you, I can recommend some assistance.

Visit www.facebook.com/classicrockalbums and take a look back in time.  The page is new, but more content is added daily, so sooner or later they're going to throw up something that jogs the old noodle and you'll find you have plenty to say about that

Second Opinons

Not long ago, I began experiencing chest pains that led to a visit with a local heart specialist.  That resulted in a recommendation for surgery.

Adhering to the adage "Always get a second opinion," I did exactly that.

I went to Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii and saw some of the most competent people I have ever had the privilege of meeting.  They cleared their decks and saw to it that I received proper care and attention in the short amount of time I had available to be there.  I want to thank them from the very bottom of my 'good-as-is-but-could-use-some-work' heart.

Turns out, I'm not the ticking time-bomb the local doctor diagnosed me as.

I am thankful for this and won't spend any time contemplating the motivations behind the first diagnosis.  What I will do is jump on the bandwagon and proclaim my support for the Second Opinion.

If you have the time (and I was told I had very little), get that second opinion.  If it matches the first, you can feel confident everyone is on the same page.  If it doesn't, then you need to reassess and maybe get a third.

It could result in one less scar and the opportunity for you to correct something the way nature intended.
